First Official photos of the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe
We got confirmation that the CTS-V Coupe was going to be built just a couple of days before GM revealed the CTS Coupe. And now we have the reveal of the first pictures from Cadillac of the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe ahead of the official reveal at the Detroit Motor Show this month. No surprises in store – except perhaps just how good it looks – with its 6.2 litre, 556 bhp V8 almost defying resistance by hurtling the not inconsiderably-sized CTS-V Coupe to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.

It looks like Bentley are taking the whole ‘Merchandise’ thing as seriously as Ferrari do. Perhaps they decided last year – when Bentley were selling next to no cars – that shoving the Bentley logo on a range of upmarket toys was a way to bring in some much needed revenue. It was even reported at the nadir of Bentley sales that they had their craftsmen – who had nothing to do – churning out some bespoke furniture.

Reborn MG opens its doors at Longbridge
Yesterday marked the latest chapter in one of the genuine rollercoaster stories of our times: the rise and fall – and now yet another recovery – of car production at Longbridge, the spiritual home of some of the most famous nameplates in British car manufacturing. This time it’s the rebirth of MG, now in Chinese hands and back from a near-death experience since MG Rover collapsed in April 2005. Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC) is the oldest car maker in China and paid £50 million to snap up the MG brand and manufacturing rights, but can it really stand a chance with its new English project?
The Chinese manufacturer is reviving the MG brand and, in Europe, the first model on sale will be the revised TF roadster on sale around September 2007.
